Richard King, the James Jones Literary Society home page editor. The
friends will relate remembrances of the Jones they knew. The moderator,
Helen Howe, will go into the audience and encourage individuals to also
share their remembrances of Jones. Richard King will present
information and comments he has received via readers of the society home
page. Ray Elliott was invited to travel to the location of the filming
of The Thin Red Line in Australia and was given permission by Terrence
Malick to interview the actors and to write a story for the Jones
Society newsletter. During the second session of the symposium, Ray
will review these days spent on location and discuss the enthusiasm and
the attitude of those involved in this project.
