Another "Cry Baby Bridge" Discovered in Ohio

By Jeff Fishel

I live in a small town in Ohio about an hour south of Cleveland called Greenford. Through this town runs Egypt Road and just off of Egypt Road is what is known around here as CryBaby Bridge. It is located in woods that seem to have a distinct similarity to those seen in The Blair Witch Project. The bridge and road have a long history of stories behind them.

The story goes something like this:

In the late 60's a hippie couple and their new born baby were out driving one night on Egypt Road and came to a stop at a bridge. While the mother and her baby were standing on the bridge the man went for a walk in the woods. Before long he heard his baby let out a loud cry and his wife screaming "No."

He ran back to the bridge as quick as possible. When he got there he found his wife and baby laying dead face up in the waters below. He quickly ran for help but he was never ever heard from since then....

Now if you go there at night it's claimed that you can hear the cries of that baby. ...I have driven by it myself and I am too afraid to stop yet....the eerie woods are enough to scare me.

In the 70's several local teens committed suicide from Crybaby bridge.

In the 80's a cult was formed in those very woods of Egypt Road. For months every day dead animals were found sacrificed in the woods and on the road, but no one was ever seen or caught. Rumors of the cult still existing are still heard to this day.

That's all I have for now, but I do plan on visiting the bridge this summer...if I can get the courage. I'll be sure to let you know what I find.
