Momo Legend of Morgan County, Indiana

Some residents of Morgan county (particularly around Waverly) will tell
you about the hairy beast around here known as "Momo." I myself have encountered
it twice. I have spoken with other residents who claim to have seen it. My
first experience was a few years ago while back in my woods looking for something
I had dropped there earlier. It started to get dark but I wasn't worried because
I knew my way around the woods very well, and I also had a flashlight. It
was barely light enought to see, the sun could not be seen through the trees.
I started hearing footsteps, they were loud becaue it was late fall and there
were dead leaves all over. I looked really far through some trees and saw
a massive beast like creature, I mean it was FAR away but I could make out
its shape and color, it was 6-7 ft tall, brown/red hair. I believe this creature
was not "Momo" because in the stories I have heard, "Momo" is somewhat short.
On another occasion maybe about a month ago, I was walking my dog, pretty
late, it was almost pitch black. I heard these huge, massive, loud stomps
through the woods, tree limbs were cracking and branches were breaking. I
haven't been back there to see the damage yet.
Back to "Momo" for a second. I read about tales of little men that reminded
me of "Momo" that you may have heard of. Somewhere in southern Indiana is
a park where people claim to see small furry men who once in a while have
clothing, usually a shirt. There have been some reports I believe way up north
around another area. People have claimed that they are responsible for clothes
that disappear from clothing lines. One occasion I heard was of two guys
walking through the southern park when one looked behind them due to a noise
and saw one of the little furry men standing right behind him: "about 20
or so feet away, I looked to see if my friend had seen it and when I looked
back it was gone."
